Have you been sitting at a desk under artificial lights hustling away? Is your body aching or tired? Stressed? Feeling like your working against the flow with no time to be here in the present? There's a better way! Finding harmonious balance is crucial for optimal productivity. Integration, healing and growth occur when you rest. In rest, you gain insight into the next best move to make, and how and when to make it. Tuning into the calm found in the state of rest, will give you the clarity to propel beyond the work-hard mindset and into the ease of work-smart flow. Woe to the toxic culture of the non-stop grind! Learn the ancient yogic techniques to bring your mind and body out of fight and flight stressors and into rest and restore mode. Release tense muscles, restore your mobility, calm your nervous system and prepare for a deep sleep when you arrive home after class. Each week will take you deeper into your mind-body connection, to unlock any build up of stagnation causing stiffness and aches. Gentle counter balance core strengthening will help to provide support to your lower back, and in turn your upper spine, neck and shoulders. Do you hear what your mind-body is whispering? Those aches, pains and stress responses are your bodies way of communicating. Take this preventative and restorative action before it's compelled to turn the volume up by way of injury, illness or burnout. Honour your mind-body connection and give yourself the restorative calm needed to be productive. Come back into harmonious balance. Your optimal flow.
